The Seal of Approval- Blogger Recognition Award

I was nominated for The Seal of Approval Blogger Recognition Award by Jessie over at Luckyjc007, and I mostly certainly do  appreciate the award nomination. Much thanks and appreciation for the thoughtfulness of your nomination.

Here are the Blogger Recognition Award Rules:

1. Write a post to show off your award! Give a brief story of how your blog got started and give a piece or two of advice to new bloggers. Thank whoever nominated you, and provide a link to their blog. List who you’ve nominated in the post. Make sure to attach the award! (You can do this by right clicking, saving, and uploading the image above).

2. Select other blogs to which you want to give the award. You can not nominate yourself or the person who has nominated you.

3. Comment on each blog and let them know you’ve nominated them. Provide a link to the award post you created.

I’ve had this space on wordpress for a few years, not know what exactly to do with there because I have so many hobbies-travel, writing, photography, crafts, cooking/baking (food in general). Finally after having a page on Facebook that didn’t seem to going the way I’d hoped, I found my way back to wordpress and decided focus on what I loved doing most, which is motivating and inspiring others.  It takes one positive thought in the morning to change your entire day, if I can do that for some one, then I’ve achieved my at least one goal for that day.

It’s great having people take the time to read and give feedback on your post, in addition, it’s also great reading the blogs of others, gaining insights and the knowledge they share about their experiences both off and online.

Some recommendations to new or potential bloggers are:

Decide on a name for your blog and what type you are most interested in. You may like to write stories, poetry , or about whatever your passion is.

Get your blog site set up and join some of the challenges(Bloggers University is a great start). This is a great way to learn from other bloggers like Michael who has been doing an awesome job in educating fellow bloggers on here.

Be consistent in your writing. Try to write at least one thing a week. Don’t worry about posting daily, you can write a few blogs in your down time and have them scheduled for a later day. Keep track of your calendar though, I have a double post of the same story today because it was overlooked on my wordpress list of scheduled post.

Learn about social media traffic and how to diversify it.

Build a community by making your readers feel a part of something and encourage feedback, and be sure to follow other bloggers.
