Awards Recognition……

I’ve decided to kill 9 birds with one stone (so to speak), and accept all the awards I was so generously nominated for by Rashmi. Thanksgiving is not a Holiday widely celebrated back in The Bahamas. Though in the past few years, there have been a lot of Bahamians adopting the American tradition of celebrating the  Holiday, with feast of Turkey, Ham and all the dressings and trimmings. Here in UK it’s not even mentioned, other than among American Expats. For me, I believe we should live a life of gratitude and  harmony, as such, EVERYDAY should be Thanksgiving!

Each award has it’s individually assigned task, but I’m going to keep it simple and inline with what Rashmi has already started. So I’m instead of posting all the rules for these 9 awards, I’m answering a few question about myself.

So here goes:

  1. Define yourself in five words.

Mother, daughter, sister, friend and human!

  1. Are you an introvert or an extrovert?

Hmmmm, Society has marked me an introvert, simply because they never understood my quiet demeanour,  is just me just taking in my surroundings. I’m a people watcher, I watch their movements, gestures when they speak and attitude towards others. But I think of myself more an extrovert, I enjoy chatting with others, learning about them, from them and hearing their stories.

  1. If you could trade places with one person for a day, who would you be?

This is a tough one! Hmmm. Not sure, I would often say a celebrity. But honestly I think I’d like to trade places with my dog for a day, just to see the world from her perspective. Weird I know. But all she does is eat, sleep, poop and if it’s a nice day, she gets to run around on the park. But oh! You did say a person. In that case I’d say my 16 year old daughter. I’d like to know her take on the world, friends, school and life in general. My 20yr old seems to be too complicated!

  1. What is your best quality?

Listening. Though some say my loyalty!

  1. Has blogging enriched your life? How?

It most certainly has. ** I’m stealing this bit from Rashmi because I feel the same way! “Blogging and writing in general has enriched my life. It has given me a sense of direction, it has also made me a better reader. I get to read more and that in turn makes me write more. Nowadays, everywhere I go and everything I do, I look at it with the eyes of a writer!” Doing has indeed made me look at the world through the eyes of a write.

Now, that the questions have been answered,  I’d like to nominate anyone who wish to take part in the challenge, you can choose one or you can accept of 9. Or simply pass, by choosing not to accept any at all.

But here are a few honourable mentions, and a some fellow bloggers who have already nominate me in the past for various awards.

  1. Congratulations Etta 🙂

I liked reading your interesting answers 🙂

Now I will tell you why I didn’t get notification. I feel it is important for all of us who accept awards 🙂

Pingbacks: You have used link to my homepage. If you use link to any post on my blog it will generate pingback for that post and I will get notified but not currently as it is for homepage 🙂

    I hope I made myself clear 🙂

Which award did you nominate me for?

Actually I nominated Rashmi for a few awards but I am not one of her nominees that is why I asked about it. 🙂

    Love and light ❤

    1. Ahhh, now I get it. I have to actually include the link from one of your blogs, to do the ping back!
Well I was actually nominating your for ALL of them 😉 . But you can choose to accept which ever one you wish. I didn’t bother including an explanation for each award, since they’ve been going around so my and I feel the name of each award is self explanatory.
