Today is one of the most notable days in American, next to Christmas and Independence that is. In The Bahamas this holiday is not celebrated as such, though many Bahamians have adopted the practice of cooking Turkey, ham and all the trimmings for Thanksgiving.

Thankful Thursday
Making notes in my gratitude journal today, my mind fell on of how strange life is. We go through our days compelled to living in gratitude, yet so many people spend their lives doing the exact opposite. They spend so much time seeking sympathy and complaining about what they don’t have, rather than what they do have. In no means have I perfected the art of gratitude, I’m still a pupil. Somedays I’m at a cross road and find it easier to fall back on the road of self-pity than to move forward into happiness.

Terrific Tuesday……The 80/20 Rule
The 80/20 rule in relationships is based on the premise that in a good relationship one can only achieve 80 percent of what you need or want out of the relationship. The rest is unattainable and can only be found in other partners. This means our partners provide 80% while the other 20 are out there just wanting us to fulfill our dreams and achieve ultimate happiness. Some people agree with this rule, and some do not. The argument is that in any relationship it takes two to make it work, one cannot simply rely on the other to deliver that 80%.

Meaningful Monday
You’ve probably asked yourself these questions countless times, and if I was given a dollar every time I asked these questions…..“Why am I here?”, “What’s the point of all this BS?” and “what am I meant to do with my life?” I would probably have a fat bank account. But at the end of the day, what I was truly looking for was to simply have a life of meaning, to live a meaningful and purposeful life….a life that mattered. But I guess everyone on this planet wants the same thing. Right?
