“Thank goodness for best friends. For true friends, the ones who love you no matter what.”   ~Laura McNeill

When you decide to move forward and live an AMAZING life, you can not do it alone. You can try. But you need to have friends in your life, true friends. You need to have people who will both support you and challenge you. I’m not talking about people who are going to constantly compliment you, you know the ones, those “yes” men and women, the people who will go, “Hey, way to go! Hi five! Nice job! Sure- Cheerleaders are great. But you need more people who are going to really keep you grounded, who are going to challenge you, who when you air your plans and ideas. The kinda people who will challenge your ideas to make sure it’s something you are truly passionate about, and that you have fully thought through those ideas, who will ask all the right questions……… “Are you sure that’s the right idea? “Have you thought about this?” “What about that?” Who are asking these question because they care about you! And not because they have doubts about your decisions. People who will NOT kill your dream.

The best gift we can give other people is our whole selves in truth. By doing so we give them a true and accurate mirror that allows them to see themselves. We also give ourselves the best opportunity to grow.”  ~A.C. Ping

I’m slowly building my personal advisory board, no I’m not a CEO or own a large company. But I need people around me who has my best interest at heart, people who will offer me guidance, I need mentors who will challenge me and not just tell me what I want to hear. Once you’ve chosen to take a certain path in your life; you need your personal advisory board. You need those people who will not only help you achieve your dreams and goals, but who will also guide you along the way.

Having those connection, having your ‘tribe’ on hand, is critical. These are the people that when you do start doing new things, and when you need people to amplify your message they’re the ones who are going to be there to do it for you. At the same time, don’t forget those close knit, close to home, we’ll-do-anything-for-you friends . Those are the friendships that matter. Just know that anything you pursue in your life……You can’t do it alone.
