I often hear people say that motivation doesn’t last. Well, neither does Chocolate! But unlike chocolate cake, you can have a daily dose of motivation . If your motivation is starting to taper, you’re not alone, keeping motivation is about as easy as keeping sand in a sieve. The good news is though, there are certain truths you can keep in mind to help keep goals realistic and healthy habits going strong.

Truth # 1: You won’t always feel that drive. … . The important thing is to remain focus and do what you can even if you’re unable to give fully 100 percent towards what you’re trying to achieve. Any activity is better than no activity and you’re not likely to remain inspired unless you’re motivated.
Truth# 2: Stick with the tried and true. Go back to when you were first motivated, what got you to jump up out of your seat, to hit the ground running? Was it a friend, family member or a book? If you’re prepared to cross the finish line, find that one thing or person that got you motivated. That’s not to say you won’t run out of steam again. But at least you won’t crash and burn.
Truth # 3: Commit yourself to remaining faithful to YOU for the long haul. In order for healthy goals to turn into habits, we have to make sure we’re doing something that we enjoy and can commit to long term. Create a vision board to remind yourself daily of what it is you want.
Motivation, like most things in life, has its ups and downs. Just remind yourself of why your goals are important to you, accept that you are human and no one is perfect, and know that every day is a fresh start.
