It’s truly amazing how one simple, easy, positive action can change so much in your life. One of the things that has had a huge impact on my life is realising the power of gratitude.
Those how have been following my post, know that it has affected every aspect in my life. It has made me a more positive person. A more productive person. A better achiever. A happier person!
“Everyday, think as you wake up, today I am fortunate to be alive, I have a precious human life, I am not going to waste it. I am going to use all my energies to develop myself, to expand my heart out to others; to achieve enlightenment for the benefit of all beings. I am going to have kind thoughts towards others, I am not going to get angry or think badly about others. I am going to benefit others as much as I can.” ~Dalai Lama
You might not get the exact same benefits as I have, but there’s no doubt in my mind that the simple act of gratitude on a regular basis will change anyone’s life, positively and immediately. Once you become oriented toward looking for things to be grateful for, you will find that you begin to appreciate simple pleasures and things that you previously took for granted. Gratitude should not be just a reaction to getting what you want, but an all-the-time gratitude, the kind where you notice the little things and where you constantly look for the good even in unpleasant situations. Today, start bringing gratitude to your experiences, instead of waiting for a positive experience in order to feel grateful.
Everything!
Every morning before getting out of bed I thank The Lord for something He has blessed me with. Taking time to consider all that there is to be grateful for really can change our thoughts and mindset.
