Living a healthy life emotionally is just as important as living a healthy life physically. In yesterday’s post, Terrific Tuesday, I posted 10 thought provoking questions and I think everyone would they really hit close to home, they did for me.

 

It’s not rocket science what a positive attitude and a positive outlook could have on life will do for you, I’ve been posting about that since  starting my blog.  And yes, sometimes it can be challenging to always think about life in a positive way, but if it becomes a ritual with you consistently practicing having a positive outlook. You see the change and your life will truly change for the  better.

10 things to do for yourself

1. ALWAYS MOVE FORWARD
People are going to try to knock you down every day. Don’t let those people define you by how hard you fall, but instead, make sure you define yourself by how fast you get up after you fall.
2. ALWAYS MAKE THE BEST OF ANY SITUATION
You all know I’m learning to love Scotland’s grey, rainy days. How about grey rainy days when you have laundry, or you have to take a bus or train to work? Well I’ve gained inspiration from those non-sunny days. As for work, nothing a parka and umbrella can’t fix.
3. ALWAYS IMPROVE YOURSELF
Settling for something is the worst thing that anyone can do. Always look for ways to better yourself in your career and your personal life.
4. ALWAYS BE CONFIDENT IN YOURSELF
You know what is best for you, so stick with it. Losing confidence in yourself will hurt you in more ways than one.
5. IGNORE THE HATERS-Always
Some people use haters as fuel. Others just choose to completely ignore them. Whichever is best for you is fine, but the main thing is to not let them try to ruin your dreams. It’s your life, not theirs.
6. ALWAYS SMILE
Sometimes this is hard to do! Smiling will brighten up any room and bring sunshine to anyone’s day. Smiling makes you more approachable, not one likes a person who walks around with a frown on their face…..As the saying goes, misery loves company.
7. ALWAYS WRITE YOUR OWN STORY
You are the author of your life story, write your OWN story or someone else will. Every choice you make defines who you are and how your story goes. Your actions every day define whether each chapter ends with a period, question mark, or exclamation point.
8. ALWAYS GIVE BACK
Finances may be tough, but you can still give back. What you give, comes back to you eventually. A simple gift like will go a long way in someone’s life.
9. ALWAYS LISTEN TO YOUR INNER VOICE
Listening to others will only make you unhappy. It can be easy to drown out your own inner voice, but you need to listen to it more often and let others have their own opinions.
10. ALWAYS KEEP AN OPEN MIND
Having a closed mind is BORING! Treat your mind like you would a parachute. It only works if it’s open.
