“To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.” ~Ralph Waldo Emerson
Women aren’t the only ones with mood swings, it’s a common misconception that our (women) attitudes changes like the shifting tide. Men are also susceptible to mood swings, we all are. What feels like losing control of your emotions is actually a return to parts of ourselves that craves some sort of spiritual attention. The soul is constant; only our perception changes. In our emotional instability we find peace, only to lose grip of it again, struggling to overcome our pitfalls and reclaim a normal life.
We are all provisional. “I” is temporary and subject to everything that time brings, the ego shifts constantly which is why it’s necessary to see yourself on a spiritual path, because it provides focus and direction so that we can expand, filling in those blank spaces whenever we have that feeling of being beyond the horizon. Lost in our mood swings! Announce your intentions! You have to reclaim your life and announce your intentions in order to reach your goals; and in response, all will be revealed to accomplish those goals.
It would be easy if spiritual seeking were just a matter of enduring one storm, one bad day, after which you are given that feeling of security in promise to a wonderfully perfect life. But that would be too simple, life would be too boring. The are many dark mornings, shadowy afternoons and dim nights is what makes life so interesting and keeps us pressing forward to something extraordinary.
