“As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.” ~ John F. Kennedy
I have much appreciation for the finer things in life………true and lasting friendships, loyal, loving family, and of course chocolate cake! It’s your appreciation for someone or something brings a feeling of gratitude. Regardless of what’s going on around you, the economy, uncertainty of the future, and all those other things that are beyond your control; appreciation makes your life a bit brighter lighter, happier, and more inspired; energising the spirit, filling you up with love.
“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.” ~Melody Beattie
Look at life’s adversities as a test of your appreciation, begin to explore ways of appreciating your life more fully. Spend some time appreciating your relationships, your job, the world, and most of all, appreciating yourself. This will, in turn, exude gratitude.
~ Wishing you peace, love, and gratitude…….Happy Thursday!
