“In the grand scheme of life it doesn’t matter how far you’ve come, what matters is how many people you’ve helped getting there.” ~ Etta D. Richards
What’s your ‘Feel Good Friday’ forecast for today? For me, it’s choosing something that matter. Sounds easy, doesn’t it? What if I told you that most people don’t truly know what matters, and if they do, they don’t choose it. Of course, if matters if you have a roof over your head or not. Of course, it matters if you drive a big fancy car. But what kind of house and what kind of car you drive doesn’t really matter in the grand scheme of things. What matters most in the grand scheme is how you treat people, what’s in your heart. Lifting someone’s spirit, making that person feel like a person it what truly matters.
This is one of the reasons I’ve always given service to others and have taught my kids the same. Volunteering is something I truly enjoy. Some of you may say, there’s not enough time in your day to give up. Well, you don’t have to make the time, if your heart is in it, time will make itself. Volunteering doesn’t always mean spending hours at a soup kitchen, or on a corner ringing a bell. Lifting someone’s spirit could be as easy as teaching a co-worker an easier or quicker way to get their job done.
When you begin to treat people differently you will begin to choose differently, and life will begin to reward you differently.
I enjoy writing, reading, travelling, and meeting new people; because I’m always enthralled by their stories about life, love, God or what their beliefs are, and family.
"I want to inspire.......I want someone to say, because of you I didn't give up!!"
