“When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.” ~ Viktor Frankl
More and more people are putting a value on the idea of personal growth as they strive to be a better person with a greater understanding of themselves, and the people around them. Personal growth can increase the comfort you feel with yourself, it also helps with how your relate to other in all aspects of your life. However, be mindful that it is not about attending seminars, attending workshops or seminars. Personal growth comes from challenging yourself, what you believe to be truth.
To achieve personal growth, you must work hard to understand your core values and the values of others. Doing this consistently will help you comprehend new situations, understand the best way to respond to them, transform you as a person.
Personal Growth means figuring out what your core values are- What you yourself feel is wrong or right. Acceptable or Unacceptable. Do you make the best ethical and moral decisions when you are faced with new challenges?
Exploring personal growth means you have to……
Genuinely travel. Explore the path less taken, get off the tourist traps. If you can’t or don’t wish to leave town, visit other parts of the country you live in. The real value comes from exposing yourself to the life of people that you don’t know. Real adventure comes from finding some new places.
Stretch your imagination. Pick up a challenging book and let your imagination run wild. Reading makes you step away from your life. When you walk away, you’ll have a deeper understanding of what it means to be different than you, and the more you read, the deeper your appreciation for the varieties of human experience will become.
This one stops most people in their tracks……
Figure out what YOU actually want from life.
Stop spending time and money chasing the things they THINK they want from life while ignoring signs that life is telling you. This THING is not for you.
