“Believe in love. Believe in magic. Hell, believe in Santa Clause. Believe in others. Believe in yourself. Believe in your dreams. If you don’t, who will?” ~ Jon Bon Jovi
From yesterday’s blog, you know that life doesn’t always give us what we want. Nor does life gives us what we hoped for because we are creatures of habit and used to associating our self-worth with our accomplishments. anytime we don’t find success, we being to doubt ourselves, our abilities, our worth and the people around us.
During times like these it’s important to:
Make peace with your current situation- Stage 1, 2 or 3. Wherever you are at this point in your life, make peace with your current situation, move on and prepare your next step forward.
Life will never give you more than you can handle-That may sound a bit cliche. Like most of you, this indeed was a tough pill for me to swallow because some situations in my life seemed really too much to handle. But I didn’t let those bad situations break me and neither should you.
Let life be your guide- Life is like a river, it has a natural flow, once we stop trying to control the course of life and allow it to flow naturally, self-discovery and self-realisation will follow. Let life guide you in the direction you should go and stop forcing yourself into the direction you feel you should go.
Learn to appreciate it all-Every setback is meant to shape you, remember a diamond is nothing more than a lump coal that’s been put under pressure; appreciate the good, the bad and anything in between. Be grateful for the challenges and thank life for the lessons.
Believe in yourself and people will have no choice but to do the same.
