“Always be a first-rate version of yourself instead of a second-rate version of somebody else.” ~Judy Garland
Be a part of something you believe in
Some people take active roles in service to others through local charities, social clubs and supporting causes they believe in, while others find passion in their careers or work. whichever the case the outcome is the same. They are involved in something they truly believe in and have a passion for. Being engaged in something meaningful brings happiness and sustenance to life.
Choose your friends wisely
I cannot express this enough. If you want to go fast go alone but if you want to go far choose a team. Your friendships are the family you choose. Choose friends who you are proud to associate with and are proud to know you. Who love and respect you.
Focus on the positive
Undoubtedly, positive thinking is at the forefront of gaining success in all that you do. No one can dream for you, your mind must believe it can do something before it is capable of actually doing it. Develop opposing, positive habits to overcome negative thoughts, superstitious beliefs and destructive emotions. Regardless of how a situation is playing out focus on the next step with as much positivity as possible.
No one can walk in your shoes and you cannot walk in theirs. Just as you cannot learn from someone else’s experiences. “Be yourself, everyone else is already taken.” If you’re not being yourself, then you’re not truly living your life’s an illusion. Being yourself is the single most important thing you can achieve and it brings with it peace of mind, happiness and identity because you don’t have to think about, “what should I do next,” your actions will come naturally without pretences.
