“Small shifts in your thinking, and small changes in your energy, can lead to massive alterations of your end result.” ~Kevin Michel
When we think about recycling, what comes to mind is trash or saving the environment because recycling is the basis of environmentalism. Going green isn’t just about cleaning up the planet or protecting the environment, the concept of reducing, reuse and recycle can also be applied to changing your entire view of how you see the world around you.
Here’s how recycling can also be used to transform your lifestyle and getting rid of old paradigms that may be holding you back.
Reduce: Eliminate the noise of negative thoughts and beliefs that might hold you back from achieving your goals or dreams. Reduce the negative suggestions from those around you, keep your head filled with positive messages for every negative suggestion replace it with something positive by putting more value in self-talk that than the doubtful ones from your peers.
Reuse: Try to remember the last thing that motivated you or an experience that boasted your ‘FLOW,’ reusing those thoughts to keep your momentum going. Create a vision board to remind you of those experience(s) and help you visually connect with where it is you’re going.
Recycle: It’s important to recycle your new behaviours. Repetition brings lasting changes, in order for you to form positive habits for living a greener life and to maintain a more positive lifestyle you have to practice these new habits on a daily basis.
In addition to a recycling to live a greener lifestyle, forgiving what once was and living what now is, is equally as import as reducing, reusing and recycling. Regret has no place in the new world you have created for yourself nor does it brings any benefits to your achieving your goals. Anyone who constantly reminds you of your past misgivings is not worthy of your friendship. So don’t feel guilty about eliminating them from your life.
