Phenomenal Friday-Expanding Yourself To Accommodate Your Goals

Review your goals twice every day in order to be focused on achieving them. ~Les Brown

It’s Friday, the weekend is here and I don’t want to depress you but we’re eight months into the year. With four months left to go, have you checked in on your goals? How many have you accomplished? How many were put on the back burner?

We all know that time waits for no man or woman but we are all given 24 hours in a day, how you use them it up to you. Eight months in, I’m not even half way through my list. What happened? Life happened! I moved some things to the top and pushed a few down with a few things being pencilled in between the lines. Like I said, Life happens! You have to be realistic in your goals setting or they will seem unattainable.

If you’ve found yourself eight months into the year and still trying to come to grips with your New Year’s Resolutions or still weeding out those list of goals; don’t beat yourself up about it, time may not wait for you but you’re entitled to prioritise. What was important you to in January may just be an insignificant blip in your life by June. The strategy to getting things done is to know what’s important to you at any given point in your timeline. Just as you’re not the same person you were six months ago, life changes too, it expands to accommodate the little extras that pop up along the way and you have to expand with it. I don’t mean in the waist line, I am speaking about mental expansion. To accommodate those little incidentals, you have to be willing to expand yourself mentally and be willing to let some things go while holding on to the right goals that will benefit you.

  1. Gorgeous post, Etta! Love it – especially about how it’s fine to change your priorities & the key is choosing consciously. Funny, I just read a quote from a Loving Each Day series that I get:

You program what is right for you in this moment. If it changes tomorrow, then change to match it. ~John-Roger

I’m honored to share your contribution as a part of Forgiving Fridays. About to post now, perfect timing. ❤ Have a glorious weekend, Etta D. Love, Debbie
