For me walking away is the easiest thing to do, unless of course, like you said you’re about to be attacked.

Amen to this! Some people are self fulfilling prophecies and others sabotage themselves by being overly critical of other people or downright biased and bigoted.

I admit that my self confidence is not always there but I would never stoop to hurting another person’s feelings. I believe in compassion and standing up for the underdog. On the job professionalism is King/Queen and outside the job whether at home, school, church or on public transportation we must be considerate of those around us even when they are not. It’s not good to bring yourself down to their level. If possible walk away. I do my best to avoid confrontations and only use my soldier skills if I see I’m about to be attacked which sadly has happened. Otherwise I choose to be at peace with humans.
