  1. True. Many children suffer because their parents criticized, curse and berate them. Some People both men and women should not have kids. No wonder their are so many troubled adults in the world. What is said and done to you as a child stays for life.

I totally agree, had this discussion with a friend of mine the other day. I never berated, curse at them or criticised them and it had nothing to do with spoiling them. My Mom shouted at us, but then she was a child herself when she had us and I imagine her behaviour was more out of frustration than it was harm. I love the relationship we have now, it’s not perfect but I feel closer to her and I guess I have my grandmother to thank for that, she raised us to be good good citizens of this Earth. Givers rather than takers.

      • Amen. Frustration can make you do that. Sometimes my Mom would yell but caring for a disabled child during the 1960s was an exercise in frustration. She was also battling schizophrenia. But as I look back there were many loving giving moments. We were always clean, fed and clothed. There were happy times as a family. Many family outings and good times. As I got older I realized that my parents did the best they could under the circumstances.

Stephen and I were Blessed to have our parents. Truly the Love, faith and care that our parents invested in us shows through how we treat ourselves and others.
