
However mean your life is, meet it and live it; do not shun it and call it hard names. It is not so bad as you are. It looks poorest when you are richest. The fault-finder will find faults even in paradise. Love your life, poor as it is.
Many times I’ve felt like I had reached my breaking point. Like I was one step away from tipping over the mountain into the valley of nothing. The mind accepts defeat more easily than it would a victory, in victory, there’s always doubt. In defeat, there is alway confidence. The mind tricks you into accepting self-defeat by playing stories of all those times that things did work out or didn’t go as you planned. It can trick you into believing that there is nothing left, no way to go and your goals a frivolous.
