We All Carry The Smile of God

The world about us everywhere reflects the glory of our own joy; we can see so clearly the good and the beautiful in everything, and all things seem to make a special effort to present to us their most beautiful side only. Even the clouds turn about so we may see nothing but the silver lining, and pain cries aloud declaring it only means to be pleasure whenever we appear on the scene. The secret of it all is simply this, we carry with us the smile of God, and how soon that smile can change the world. When we see that smile we learn how we are made for happiness, because God is supreme happiness, and we are created in His image and likeness. So great is the joy of the Infinite that to simply touch the hem of His garment is to feel a million thrills of sublime ecstasy.

Protecting Yourself by Walking Away From Drama

“If you walked away from a toxic, negative, abusive, one-sided, dead-end low vibrational relationship or friendship— you won.”
~Lalah Delia

It’s easy to forget that the way people treat you, what people say or do, say more about them than it says about you. You can walk away from the drama but sometimes drama runs into you head-on. One of the best aspects of working from home for me is being away from all the drama of the office and not having to wade through all the different personalities.  However, despite working from home though, there is still that interaction between colleagues and yes, sometimes hairs do get crossed, this is when the drama find you!   I faced a situation this week that made me step out of character. Looking back at it now, I’m not proud of myself for wasting my energy on such an insignificant thing of someone trying to pass the blame because I knew better.  I saw it coming but instead of protecting myself by walking away, I went into it head-on, guns blazing.

Acquiring the Art of Original Thought

WHAT person is, and what a person does, determines in what conditions, circumstances and environments he shall be placed. And since a person can change both himself and his actions, he can determine what his fate is to be. To change himself, man must change his thought, because man is as he thinks; and to change his actions, he must change the purpose of his life, because every action is consciously or unconsciously inspired by the purpose held in view. To change his thought, man must be able to determine what impressions are to form in his mind, because every thought is created in the likeness of a mental impression. To choose his own mental impressions, man must learn to govern the objective senses and must acquire the art of original thought.
