Genuinely happy people know above all else the importance of taking care of themselves. They’re constantly improving their lives through daily rituals to keep themselves on track. 2020 was a messy year, 2021 has yet to prove itself better, we are all going through uncertain times right now but your family, friends and those we come in contact with deserve to experience the best version of you!
I will be the first to admit, I’m not always the happiest person in the world. However, I do my best to stay in a routine that keeps my spirits up on days when I’d rather be closed off the world. Keeping a daily routine is imperative to your happiness and keeping joy in your spirit.
My top 4 go-to mood changers are:
- Focus on what’s important to you. –Find one important thing each day and build on that one thing instead of trying to fill your head with countless other things.
- Stay productive- eliminate the busy-Ness– Staying productive means getting all the right things done and not just going aimlessly going through your day keeping yourself busy doing nothing. Spend your time on things that worth your time.
- Take 30- most would say take 10. For me 15 minutes is not enough, to appreciate what world around me, the sights, the smell, the atmosphere. In 15 minutes spirts, I’ve learned to appreciate all the birds that call my back yard home and the ones that accompany me on my long walk most days. I’ve learned to appreciate the snow, fog and even the rain. I’ve learned to appreciate the atmosphere of my life.
- Accepting Responsibility – accept that no one is responsible for your happiness but YOU! It’s responsibility to boost your own self-esteem, self love and self care.
Value your happiness enough to spend time each day creating it.

For me it’s been gratitude for all the small every day things we tend to same forgranted. And learning how to care for myself in the moment like a loved one. To hold myself tenderly, with care and speak kindly.

Tino that’s beautiful. I love the part of holding yourself tenderly with care and speaking kindly. We all need to be so kind to ourselves. xx
