It’s said that in life we need just three things to be happy, money, a job that brings contentment and someone to love. If you ask a room full of people what brings them happiness, you will get more than those three things but they will no doubt be at the top of the list because people often them with happiness. There are many roads to happiness and recognising these without falling into the trap of shallow happiness is sometimes complicated. Think back to a time when you felt true happiness and let that guide you to finding that again.
One of the best feeling in human existence is finding out that perfect happiness can be attained without the things or people mostly associated with it, that perfect relation, perfect job, the flashy care and admiration from our peers. Finding happiness means separating those things that make you happy from those that don’t, you can pretty much know what to look for if you’re guided by past experiences and remembering how they made you feel. Then cultivating the ones that brings you joy and remove these which don’t.
Simple essentials that can promote happiness
Health- Not just physical health but mental and emotional health are vital components of overall happiness. Make every effort to maintain all three, good health is a commodity many do not posses. Sometimes it’s hard because there are so many external forces that can interrupt our physical, mental and emotional health.
Friendships- You don’t know mountains of friendships to keep you happy. There are many out there who feel that they need dozens of friendships to validate them. What you need are friends who are loyal and honest. A few true friends are better than a drove those who are not.
Self Love and Acceptance- This a saturated subject but happiness cannot be attained without fully loving and accepting yourself. For women, body image is one of our largest vices, before you can learn truly love someone you must learn to truly love yourself. If someone is not accepting you for who you are, then they’re not worth your time.
No one is happy every hour of every day but everyone has the right to happiness, as mentioned above, happiness differs from person to person. It’s also not limited to these three essentials so finding your peace and you’ll find your joy.
