Is A Lack of Joy A Spiritual Warning Flag?

There is a sense in some circles that being joyful is not a part of the Christian life. Is there a place for joy in Christian service?

George Bernard Shaw said, “This is the true joy in life, the being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one: the being thoroughly worn out before you are thrown on the scrap heap, and being a force of nature instead of a feverish selfish little clod of ailments and grievances, complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy.”  – Jon Johnston, Courage…

I AM two of the most powerful words, for what you put behind them determines your reality. The words “I am”, which you consistently use to define who you are and what you are capable of. Throughout life you have been through a conditioning process that has created a mind-set overflowing with I am nots.

My Colour Palette

The Inked Scalpel

We have all sorts of tags to attach to people we meet in everyday life. With some, we have an instant connection, while some annoy us even from a distance. Some invoke a sick feeling in us when they speak, while some wear funny clothes. Some have a funny way of walking, while some are born with great sense of humour. Some are just adorable being themselves.

You must be wondering why I’m telling you all this? There’s an assortment of people, but so what? My point is, don’t be very picky when it comes to people. Welcome all those who want to be with you. You need all the pieces of the jigsaw puzzle in order to see the big picture, and you need all the colours in the palette to make the painting colourful.

“But Riyaz, it all sounds very nice to hear when you write it in…

It’s The Climb!

If that isn’t inspiration to keep moving, I don’t know what is. Love the photo as well.

The Inked Scalpel

Try to recall an event where you actually succeeded in doing something the way you planned it, or you at least achieved what you planned to achieve. Well, I have, on many occasions and this is what I feel when I reach there. Little success stories on a small measure inspire me to dream bigger and chase the big mountains.

It feels peaceful when you’ve climbed the mountain and reached at the top. Being on the top of your worries, troubles and hurdles, overcoming them and sitting on the throne, feeling the chill of the dangers around, and blinded by the mist of the mighty, it is indeed very unique and awe-inspiring for someone from the plains.

But that’s never permanent. No matter how much you enjoy the view from the top, you simply cannot stay there. It’s not meant to be. You either come back down, or look to…

ALWAYS HAVE A “PLAN-B”

The Motivational Blog

While it is perfectly okay to stick with the original plan and trust it with all your heart, it’s always advisable to have another plan up your sleeve. In case if your original plan doesn’t end up well on a good note, you can use the other plan and make things work.

Having a Plan-B always puts you at a good advantage and prepares you instantly to succeed forward. Executing it gives you confidence, creates in you a vibe of positivity and helps you to be focussed. On a normal scenario, the percentage for opting a second plan is minimal ( Plan A works out most of the time ) but the success rate of Plan B is more than 95%.

It indicates that it is always better to have a plan under your sleeve. Planning ahead and having an other plan will always put you in a favourable position.

‘Juice vs Sauce’

I love the analogy here.

Advice with beth

Hi guys,

You are probably all wondering what on earth this blog is about.. i promise you it is all going to make sense in a few moments. I was scrolling through my instagram a few days ago and i came across this one video, the video showed an employee in American store explaining to a customer the difference between ‘juice and sauce’, (i am going to insert the Youtube video below incase any of you are interested).

juice vs sauce

In this video he is basically explaining how juice is only temporary, he says that it is something that can come and go, he used the example of, if you keep a bottle of lemonade in your fridge, how long is that going to last you? a couple of days at the most (hence why lemonade (juice) is only temporary), he then goes on to compare this to sauce, he…
