People are always blaming their circumstances for what they are. I don’t believe in circumstances. The people who get on in this world are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want, and if they can’t find them, make them.
-George Bernard Shaw
Fifteen years ago I left my job with no immediate plans for the future, I just knew there were things I wanted that my current job would never bring. In addition to that, it was not good for my health because it demanded so much from me mentally and physically. It wasn’t good for my family because it took up huge junks of my time, I was leaving at the break of dawn and coming home just in time to feed my daughters and put them off to bed. I was missing the days of spending quality time with them, I had begun to miss those enjoyable days of spending time on the beach or just sitting in my mother’s back yard watching the coconut trees dance in the cool breeze. The experience of failure, adversity or heartbreak brings no excitement to our lives. There are no benefits to only dreaming about moments of joy that are stolen by a job that brought no real value to your life. So I moved on.
For everything in this journey of life we are on, there is a right wing and a left wing: for the wing of love there is anger; for the wing of destiny there is fear; for the wing of pain there is healing; for the wing of hurt there is forgiveness; for the wing of pride there is humility; for the wing of giving there is taking; for the wing of tears there is joy; for the wing of rejection there is acceptance; for the wing of judgment there is grace; for the wing of honnor there is shame; for the wing of letting go there is the wing of keeping. We can only fly with two wings and two wings can only stay in the air if there is a balance. Two beautiful wings is perfection. There is a generation of people who idealize perfection as the existence of only one of these wings every time. But I see that a bird with one wing is imperfect. An angel with one wing is imperfect. A butterfly with one wing is dead. So this generation of people strive to always cut off the other wing in the hopes of embodying their ideal of perfection, and in doing so, have created a crippled race. ― C. JoyBell C.
This is the time to trade in hope. Buy, sell, barter, distribute, exchange & spread hope. Promote so much hope that even the hope start hoping to establish a permanent residence in our minds. Remember, the markets are under siege by armies of disbelief, distrust, doubt, fear, hopelessness, despair, discouragement & pessimism. The most efficient weapon & shield against this enemy is “the hope.” ~Shahenshah Hafeez Khan
My life and most people’s lives are a series of little miracles — strange coincidences which spring from uncontrollable impulses and give rise to incomprehensible dreams. We spend a lot of time pretending that we are normal, but underneath the surface each one of us knows that he or she is unique. ~Colin Clark
