You are Destined for Greatness

People can campaign to break you, collaborate to alienate you, even worse, create false testimonies to orchestrate your downfall; but when you are destined for greatness, you will be great, regardless. Never lose faith!

Celebrating The Fanfare of Life

Start each day with a positive thought and a grateful heart.
― Roy T. Bennett

Life is filled with celebrations. We celebrate pregnancy, and birth, and share a celebration of life when someone dies. How many times do we celebrate actual living? I know we live each day the cycle of eat, sleep, work, but what happens in between those hours? How are we living those hours? What is it that you’re doing right now to celebrate waking up this morning? Celebrations aren’t always about the fanfare, cake, balloons, cigars, or champaign. The simple act of gratitude, or doing something for yourself can be a celebration in itself.  With all, its wonderful thrills, love and laughter, and happy moments, Life itself is a fanfare.

A Few More Things I’m Grateful For

As we find ourselves soon to say goodbye to yet another month and prepare to usher in the final month of the year I can’t help but to emotionally reflect on the past few months. Between the borage of hospital visits, trying to keep my sanity while juggling my commitment to family and work in between, I try to take the time each day to make, whether mentally or on paper, to make my life of things I’m grateful for.

1. Good Health, Life and the occasional bump in the road- These are the sum of all things. We are nothing without them.

2. Mitzy- she brought so much life to our family. She was my constant companion, who gave us all unconditional love, it still hurts to even think her name.

3. My daughters-I am grateful for their thoughtfulness and telepathic love.

4. My Mom- I’m just grateful that God had kept her with us and grateful for her love and selflessness.

5. My aunts- There are words for their unconditional love and support.

6. Doctors who work miracles!

As the years pass, I am coming more and more to understand that it is the common, everyday blessings of our common everyday lives for which we should be particularly grateful. They are the things that fill our lives with comfort and our hearts with gladness — just the pure air to breathe and the strength to breath it; just warmth and shelter and home folks; just plain food that gives us strength; the bright sunshine on a cold day; and a cool breeze when the day is warm.

Everyday Miracles

If you think that you are an extraordinary person you are definitely right because every existence represents a miracle and every miracle is extraordinary by definition!”
~Mehmet Murat ildan

Nothing like pain, disappointment or misfortune to get your praying for miracles. Even in ordinary times I’ve prayed for miracles, big one, little ones, impossible ones. Miracles are like snowflakes; each miracle is unique in its own way. They’re as individual as the person praying for that miracle and we’re always looking for a miracle or looking for something extraordinary to happen in our lives. While we wait, a thousand other things are happening around us that go completely overlooked because they’re not significant enough, we see miracles as something extraordinary, mind-blowing and captivating.  We see them as something so rare, they only happen once in a life time and most often only to special people or those who are exceptionally faithful to God.

We all have our own definition of what a miracle is or what they should look like and while many wait to walk on water. Many are thankful for the miracle of waking up each morning. While many wait for angels to descend from heaven, others are thankful for the miracle of watching the sunrise.  I’ve learned to appreciate the miracles that are happening around me every day. So while you wait for that extraordinary something, that mind-blowing, captivating feat against law and nature I am grateful for the miracles of life that are constantly in motion.
