Be Inspired by Your Desire for More

People are always blaming their circumstances for what they are. I don’t believe in circumstances. The people who get on in this world are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want, and if they can’t find them, make them.

-George Bernard Shaw

Fifteen years ago I left my job with no immediate plans for the future, I just knew there were things I wanted that my current job would never bring. In addition to that,  it was not good for my health because it demanded so much from me mentally and physically. It wasn’t good for my family because it took up huge junks of my time, I was leaving at the break of dawn and coming home just in time to feed my daughters and put them off to bed. I was missing the days of spending quality time with them, I had begun to miss those enjoyable days of spending time on the beach or just sitting in my mother’s back yard watching the coconut trees dance in the cool breeze. The experience of failure, adversity or heartbreak brings no excitement to our lives. There are no benefits to only dreaming about moments of joy that are stolen by a job that brought no real value to your life. So I moved on.

15 Little Lessons in Life We Sometimes Ignore

I don’t have to chase extraordinary moments to find happiness, it’s right in front of me if I’m paying attention and  practicing gratitude.
-Brene Brown

Age doesn’t always bring wisdom but when it does, it comes with life lessons. With that wisdom we lean to see the lessons we wished we had learned when we were younger. Lessons that would have made us more appreciative and made life more easier. Unfortunately wisdom and the lessons life has to teach us are in retrospect, they come along after they’re needed, however, when they do come, they’re never wasted because they not only become beneficial to us but also those around us. With our new found wisdom we’re able to offer genuine guidance to others.

4 Truths People Sometimes Refuse to Accept

You couldn’t relive your life, skipping the awful parts, without losing what made it worthwhile. You had to accept it as a whole–like the world, or the person you loved.
~Stewart O’Nan

There is always a certain degree of struggle we go through every day, some are avoidable, some come from bad decisions that come from choosing to ignore what’s staring you in the face. There will always be things you don’t want to hear but must be said, some of these things may come from grandparents, parents, friends, even lovers. Sometimes we listen, sometimes they may in one ear and out the next. But the fragments that remains re what we need to take note because nothing ever gets completely sifted away, the know what the mind needs.

Striving As A Human Being

The lotus is the most beautiful flower, whose petals open one by one. But it will only grow in the mud. In order to grow and gain wisdom, first you must have the mud, the obstacles of life and its suffering. The mud speaks of the common ground that humans share, no matter what our stations in life. Whether we have it all or we have nothing, we are all faced with the same obstacles: sadness, loss, illness, dying and death. If we are to strive as human beings to gain more wisdom, more kindness and more compassion, we must have the intention to grow as a lotus and open each petal one by one.
~Goldie Hawn

Pain is A Part of Life

Pain is a part of life. Sometimes it’s a big part, and sometimes it isn’t, but either way, it’s a part of the big puzzle, the deep music, the great game. Pain does two things: It teaches you, tells you that you’re alive. Then it passes away and leaves you changed. It leaves you wiser, sometimes. Sometimes it leaves you stronger. Either way, pain leaves its mark, and everything important that will ever happen to you in life is going to involve it in one degree or another.

21 Day Mindful Meditation- Day 20

WELCOME TO DAY 20! 👑 You’re almost at the end of your journey, congratulations!

We live in a society where luxury is a sign of wealth, where wealth is so often associated with money and the love of money is the root of ALL evil!

Today’s lesson intends change that paradigm about luxury and abundance many of us were raised into. Everything you’ve learned to this point will come together and hopefully provide more clarity for you because it balances the scales on abundance vs. material goods.

God/ The Universe did not believe in scarcity, if she/he did, there would only be one type of flower, one type of bird, one type of tree! But there are 4 million flower, some yet to be discovered, and 20,000 butterflies! We are surrounded by unlimited abundance and prosperity. 🦋🌳🌺

Starting from today allow yourself to seek out daily, the luxury that surrounds you! Let your joy build you up and give you the energy to share with others.

✨✨ TODAY’S PHRASE ✨✨

✍️Write this phrase of the day in your notebook and reflect on it throughout the day. “Today, I treat myself with moments of luxury.”

MEDITATION & MANTRA 🧘‍♀️

This is the Sanskrit Mantra you will repeat during meditation: Om Ritam Namah

TASK

📘Scroll through your journal, read the tasks you’ve performed.See if there is something that you missed. Would you like to supplement anything in light of your new awareness?

🌏Think about someone in your life and/or environment who seems to be unhappy or going through a challenging time. This person may complain often and have a generally negative view of life. It could be someone from the 7th-day list or someone else.

💫Share the parable from Day 19 with this person and write down what happens in your journal.

How did you feel sharing the parable with him/her?

What thoughts, associations, sensations arose in the process?

Did they answer?

Did you talk about it?

What did you discuss?

You never know whose life you can impact and shift when you share with them what you’ve learned.

❣️MESSAGE “Live on the fat of the land.” Today we look at the concept of luxury, adding to your life something that is much more significant than just a necessity. When you feel that you are worthy to receive all the blessings that the Universe can offer you, your needs are satisfied easily and even more than necessary.

As soon as you learn to accept the grace that has been sent to you, you are showing the universe that you deserve only the best and are ready to receive it.

🌟QUESTION 1: How is luxury manifested in your life?

🌟QUESTION 2: What luxurious gifts do you present yourself?

🌟QUESTION 3: How can you bring luxury to others?
