I was transformed the day my ego shattered, and all the superficial, material things that mattered to me before, suddenly ceased to matter.
At some point in our lives, more often than not, it’s during those naive teenage years, we wanted to change the world for the better. As adults many of us still do. My convictions to change the world were stronger, I’d say from age 13- 26, after that my rose colour glasses were shattered when I realised that in order to bring real change to the world, I had to change myself first. When someone says, “oh I’m out to change the world” Or ” I want to create a better world for my kids”……It made me wonder, what are they doing to create that change and are they looking within? How much time are they spending creating the change they wanted to see in the world? When we’re young the world is our oyster which brings some truth to that adage, “youth is wasted on the young” because until we understand what life is really about and what WE really want out of life, there is no changing it.
“Out beyond ideas of wrong doing and right doing there is a field. I’ll meet you there. When the soul lies down in that grass, the world is too full to talk about.” ― Rumi
There is so little appreciation to the things that cost us nothing. As we dive into the existential confidence of being, today, bring your attention to those things that cost you nothing and that you value as much as gold! What gives you strength, life force, vitality, immense joy, and inner peace and confidence? Connect to it, feel it, and make a list of it to anchor it and reconnect to it, to a greater level within you.
You are a brilliant light in the world. Feed that flame.
Write this phrase of the day in your notebook and reflect on it throughout the day.
“I move through my days lighthearted and care-free knowing all is well.”

JOURNALToday we look at how we can live carefree – free from judgment and anxiety, focusing on the joy and perfection of what is right now.
By meditating, and plunging into the awareness of the present moment, you understand that everything is perfect and is as it should be. That any problems you have are transient and temporary. You reconnect with your True Self, feeling lighter and free.
Throughout life, you will begin to look at everyday circumstances easily and meet surprises calmly and with grace.
Record reflections in your journal:
Question 1: How do you feel when you wake up every morning?
Question 2: How much would your life improve if you lived with a light and carefree heart?
Question 3: How can you switch your mind to spread the love and joy that you feel in your heart?
“Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.” ― Rumi
I started meditating a little over 15 years ago, after being introduced to the practice by a friend. I really enjoyed it because it was so beneficial for me at the time. However, I’ll be the first to confess that like a lot of things in my life it was pushed to the back burner. But thankfully after about a years of being off the wagon, last year I found my way back again because I strongly believe, “Ask and you shall receive!” When I started on this 21 Day Meditation journey last year, I felt a shift in my consciousness. The key is to keep an open heart and mind, let go of your limitations, no matter what you’re going through, believe that all will be well and find that magic inside of you! I’m excited to see where your journey takes you.
