Life’s a work in progress with NO shortcuts, you have to live it one day at a time and the secret to having your best day all depends on how you start your day, because the first few hours of your day, determines what the rest of your day is going to be like. Start your day off with a feeling of gratitude for another opportunity to start over, fill your heart, your mind with thoughts of inspiration and your life with words of wisdom. Speak positively to yourself and those around you. Life can sometimes knock you down, but what you do while you’re down there is up to you. So get up with a new attitude and a new belief that all things are possible because ‘I’ have a purpose.

It was Norman Vincent Peale who said, “Believe in yourself, have faith in your abilities, without a humble but reasonable confidence in your own powers, you cannot be successful or happy.”

 It’s this premise that I’ve decided to start my blog, I am a writer who truly wishes to Inspire, Encourage, and Motivate others through my blogs. Etta D. Richards is one of the pseudonyms  I use for my literary works. It’s derivative an ancestral Kedro name, the initial of my grandmother’s first name and the maiden name of my maternal great-grandmother; both of whom I often pay tribute to in my writing.

I hope you enjoy my blogs as much as I enjoy writing them.
