Phenomenal Friday-Creating Micro-Connections

“It’s the people we hardly know, and not our closest friends, who will improve our lives most dramatically”
~Meg Jay

The more mature I become the less gregarious my nature. My inner circle has become smaller but more meaningful, a few years ago it struck me that there were many people in my life who were simply just along for the ride. They brought nothing to the table and when they walked away they took more than necessary. We all know those people, the ones who always need a favour but is never available to return one.

This past week I attended my first Bloggers Conference. What made it interesting was that though there were not thousands of people there, the crowd was just the right size to allow you to find the right people in the mix. I discovered that creating Micro-moments like the conference and the online connections I’ve made with like-minded people, allows me to shut off the rest of the world and enter one where I share a genuine positive connection with people all over the world. So my circle may have become exclusively small but I now have a greater reach.

In creating micro-moments we open up our selves to know only new experiences but also to learning new ways of doing things, new ways in how to express yourself. The benefits of all this are enormous. When this becomes a daily habit the benefits are endless as you find yourself less stressed, more motivated to do what you love doing. This also keeps the mind open and appreciative for those newly found connections. Remain open to creating as well as recognizing those micro-moments. Build a bridge of connections that benefits your goals as you pursue your ambitions.

Have you ever experienced this? Are you open to this?

  1. Etta, this is a wise and thought-provoking post. Is it the connections that we share, or the number of people we know, that’s most important? Love that you went to the Bloggers Conference––I remember you saying that you wanted to do this! So glad that you met people there where you experienced authentic, heart-felt connection.

I see you sharing the gifts in your heart in so many ways, and I’m honored that you contributed this post for #ForgivingFridays! I’ll share it in my upcoming blog post. Blessings to you, Etta.

    Love and Light,
    Debbie
